SmartKey provides a series of four user interfaces that have been designed and tested around human factors. These interfaces are Carpets, Triplets, Fields, and Forms.

Carpets identifies and eliminates character substitutions. Character substitutions occur when the OCR misreads reads one character as another with high confidence. This can lead to poor quality data. Carpets minimizes or eliminates this problem.

Triplets provides very high speed character correction of flagged OCR errors. The operator keys in the correct value for the unsure characters. If the operator is unsure, the character remains red and must be reviewed in either the Fields session or in the Data Verification application.

Fields provides high-speed character correction of flagged OCR errors with field level context.

Forms corrects flagged OCR errors with form level context. Forms also applies field level edits as well as logical relations and rules among fields defined through the IFP forms training utility. These edits and rules are used to verify the accuracy of the data being captured.
