IFP offers two applications, True to Form and SmartKey, to validate data accuracy. True to Form enables an operator to correct ICR or validation errors on a field level. SmartKey offers a different approach, first correcting errors on the character level and then using field-level correction and, if configured, on a form level. Data Verification (DV) lets you correct and validate the data captured by Forms Processing. For each field captured, DV displays the data read from the form and the portion of the image that contained the data. You can quickly compare the two pieces of information to assure that ICR has correctly captured the data. If the ICR data is incorrect, you can type in the correct data manually. Data Verification uses color-coding and confidence data produced by ICR to alert you to potential errors. If the ICR software is sure of its interpretation (high confidence), the resulting data is displayed in a green box. If the confidence level for a particular data string is low, it is highlighted in a red box. If the data in the field fails a validation rule, the field is highlighted in red, and the operator must review it. As an option, you can elect to skip all green fields and view only the low confidence fields, considerably reducing data entry time.
